We are a small group of concerned global citizens that call ourselves the Relief Pals. We meet just about every Saturday morning for 30-60 minutes to learn and relearn how we may foster helping others in a meaningful way. Our group understands monetary support goes a long way and we also understand that people and policies are needed so that funding may, at whatever level, somehow relieve at least some of the struggles people face. We are committed to maintaining an awareness of select struggles people face, learn more about it, and connect with others to keep those situations alive in our thinking and action.

We became aware of the plight of Indian farmers and what appears to be a disturbing increase in suicides among them. We only have “non-validated” Web-based information suggesting the reasons for these tragedies and are reaching out to learn more from other global citizens that are aware of more details and perhaps first-hand information.

Let us know what you know about situations with Farmers in India and other parts of the world. As individuals with families we wish to remain aware of conditions that may impact us in unexpected ways, and remain aware of the increasing connectedness of people around the world and the evolution of ideas, thinking, and actions worldwide that impact the health, housing, employment, education, and safety of our neighbors around the world.
